About The Position
The Supply Chain Management Intern supports daily logistics, inventory control, and production coordination activities at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) and/or Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP). This position assists in ensuring accurate vehicle and material flow, maintaining system integrity, and supporting supply chain efficiency. AWCT is family-owned and operated. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid drivers license
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship or coursework in supply chain or logistics.
- Familiarity with inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily inventory verification and reconciliation across systems.
- Support inbound and outbound logistics flow between plant, yard, rail, and carriers.
- Maintain and update inventory systems and shipment tracking records.
- Help investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or damages.
- Coordinate with operations teams and external partners.
- Support documentation of shipments, returns, and reports.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Attend meetings and perform other assigned duties.
