About the position

The Quality Manager will lead the Quality function within a dynamic startup environment supported by a large, stable company. This role is crucial for ensuring that quality strategies and processes align with business objectives, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery targets. The manager will oversee quality assurance, supplier quality, and quality control, while also maintaining the quality management system based on ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality function including Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Quality Control.
  • Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Lead QMS certification and audit activities (supplier and internal).
  • Ensure customer quality issues and non-conformances are resolved quickly.
  • Establish Quality Performance data and Key Performance Indicators; provide the Management team with regular updates on Quality activities.
  • Maintain the quality management system (based on ISO 9001).
  • Ensure that Management Reviews are conducted in collaboration with the plant manager.
  • Grow the Quality team through hiring and development.

Requirements

  • Several years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred but not required.
  • Proven leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
  • Experience with the ISO 9001.
  • Proven knowledge of Root Cause/Corrective Action methodology, 8D, 5 why.
  • Experience with electromechanical products.
  • Hands-on approach in taking charge of issues on the factory floor and seeing them through to resolution.
  • Demonstrable experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action and data analysis.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Ability to travel.
