Responsibilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain Director and other leadership team members to determine annual supplier quality objectives
  • Implement and maintain a Supplier Scorecard that monitors supplier quality, delivery and other metrics that track the general performance of the supplier
  • Support supplier Quarterly Business Reviews, assess supplier performance, monitor corrective action status, and drive supplier to continuous improvement
  • Liaise with site Quality teams and suppliers to assure that quality issues are addressed, and corrective actions are in place and being properly managed to assure root cause analysis and corrective action reporting
  • Conduct assessments of suppliers' quality system and process control capability, and drive implementation of improvement plans
  • Partner with suppliers to develop quality control plans for assigned commodities and drive implementation
  • Conduct first article and first batch audit inspections
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; Effective and consistent decision-making skills
  • Ability to work multiple problems/issues simultaneously
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Working knowledge of the marketplace and manufacturing technologies
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification processes and supplier performance metrics
  • Knowledge of the latest quality science tools including, FMEA, GR&R, Control plans, Capability study and reduction of variations
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Exposure to lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S, etc)
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program
