This position is located in the Health Resources and Services Administration, Provider Relief Bureau. The role of Supervisory Management and Program Analyst - Branch Chief is critical to ensuring that operational and fiscal activities align with the mission, goals, and objectives of the Health Resources and Services Administration. As a Branch Chief, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and providing management oversight of branch operations. This includes administrative and technical supervision of branch staff, planning and coordinating work to be accomplished by subordinates, and analyzing the effectiveness of branch program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. You will also be tasked with reviewing and evaluating established policies to determine appropriate changes to improve the efficiency of current operations. In this role, you will develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of branch program and management processes, resolving functional conflicts of internal programs, and making recommendations on new approaches. You will lead or participate in the development of strategies for effective communication, presentation, and dissemination of information on program initiatives and activities that have a direct impact on Bureau and Branch programs. Additionally, you will perform studies to eliminate duplication of efforts, ensuring that the branch operates efficiently and effectively in fulfilling its mission. This position requires a strong background in management analysis, leadership, and program evaluation, as well as the ability to inspire and guide others toward goal accomplishment. You will be expected to adapt your leadership style to various situations and model high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect for individuals in your daily behaviors. The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary range, with occasional travel expected up to 10%. Telework is eligible, requiring in-office attendance two days a week.
