About the position
The Supervisory Life Scientist/Physical Scientist/Environmental Engineer position is a full-time role located in Lenexa, KS, within the EPA's Region 7, Wer Division, Permits and Wetlands Branch. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Meet customer needs effectively.
- Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Represent the Agency with various functional area organizations.
Requirements
- 1 year of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in providing leadership, oversight, or technical expertise for a scientific project or program.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading others.
- Ability to establish and monitor performance measures to assess team effectiveness.
- Knowledge of Wetlands, Non-point Source Pollution, and Grants Management.
- Ability to research, interpret, and apply environmental policies and regulations.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
