About the position

The Supervisor position at Northern Thrift involves overseeing daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on training staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store organization, and managing inventory levels. The Supervisor will also handle administrative tasks and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Training cashiers and ensuring their day-to-day duties are met.
• Ringing register and providing excellent customer service.
• Putting out merchandise and organizing the sales floor.
• Ensuring the store is clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
• Making sure merchandise is displayed properly and inventory levels are correct.
• Completing and submitting all paperwork that is due on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to the Store Manager.
• Ensuring proper pricing of merchandise and resolving issues with managers, cashiers, and customers.
• Ensuring the store is opened/closed properly and meets company expectations.
• Overseeing the work of retail staff and ensuring they meet their day-to-day duties.
• Planning and assigning work schedules, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Ensuring customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role in retail or a similar environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to train and manage staff effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks and paperwork.

• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising best practices.
