About the position

As a Seasonal Operations Leader at Mammoth Mountain, you will oversee the daily operations of the tubing park and mountain coaster, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. This role combines your passion for outdoor activities with leadership skills to inspire both team members and guests in a dynamic environment. You will manage lift operations, staffing levels, grooming, and equipment maintenance, stepping in to handle all operational aspects when the Operations Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily outdoor operations of the tubing park and mountain coaster.
• Manage lift operations, staffing levels, grooming, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead a dedicated team to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Make quick decisions to maintain high standards of service and safety when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
• Resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Control large groups in a friendly and organized manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Outdoor activities experience preferred.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a strong customer service orientation.
• Proven leadership experience in managing employees and fostering teamwork.
• Ability to effectively resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Comfortable and confident in controlling large groups in a friendly and organized manner.
• Strong background in maintenance and proficient use of power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to tubing and the Mountain Coaster.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, shoveling snow, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Familiarity with snow removal equipment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
