About the position
The Shipping Supervisor at Kyb Americas Corporation is responsible for overseeing the shipping department, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities
- Ensure associates comply with all company policies and procedures during assigned tasks.
- Verify that packaging, staging, shipping, and paperwork meet customer requirements.
- Assist associates with work process issues.
- Communicate daily activity status to the Department Manager.
- Issue disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Assist management in evaluating associate performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited organization.
- 4-6 years of related work experience may substitute for a college diploma.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership skills are necessary.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work well under pressure.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of QAD related to customer orders and preparing shippers.
