About the position

The Supervisor - Practice Performance CIN role at Henry Ford Health involves providing operational leadership to enhance performance improvement among network participating providers. The position oversees staff responsible for implementing provider-level programs and practice transformation education, while collaborating with leadership to manage payor program initiatives effectively. The role focuses on improving care coordination, access, and quality of care through strong operational effectiveness and relationship building with providers and cross-departmental experts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities of staff responsible for provider-level program implementation and practice transformation education and customer service.
  • Work with departmental leadership to prioritize implementation of payor programs and practice transformation initiatives, managing timelines and workflows to meet departmental targets.
  • Accomplish performance results through strong operational effectiveness, including planning, continuous improvement methodology, process and outcome evaluation, and workflow management.
  • Foster relationships and collaborate with providers and cross-departmental subject matter experts to drive successful deployment of practice value-based programs.
  • Promote the advancement of network practice-based initiatives including care coordination, access to care, and improvement in the quality of care delivered to patients.
  • Ensure participating providers comply with network, payor, and governmental programs, policies, and standards.
  • Recruit and develop talent; communicate job expectations; monitor and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and manage staff performance.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with committee and board members, network and health system leadership, providers, practice managers, community partners, management, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, Business, Health Care Administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in managed care, clinically integrated network, or other provider organization.
  • Management/supervisory experience in clinically integrated network or related setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong operational leadership skills including developing and implementing systems to hardwire processes and drive accountability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of healthcare industry, hospital systems, health plans, and managed care.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex and rapidly changing industry with multiple entities and constituencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, organizational, communication skills, and customer service orientation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience spanning cross-functional areas in medical practices, health plans, and/or in complex healthcare delivery systems preferred.
  • Strong computer, database, analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Understanding of population measurement and management systems, including information technology, clinical decision support and registries.
