About the position

The Logistics Supervisor at Hyundai Mobis is responsible for overseeing the logistics operations to ensure that parts stock levels meet daily production requirements. This role involves managing warehouse staff, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining inventory accuracy to support efficient production line feeding. The supervisor will also focus on safety, training, and performance evaluations of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to all warehouse staff including schedules, unpacking, line feeding, and housekeeping.
  • Report and control inventories daily, analyzing and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Coordinate receiving times and deliveries with suppliers and transportation companies.
  • Ensure sufficient parts stock levels in the warehouse to feed production lines.
  • Coach team members to follow safety procedures and promote a safety-centered culture.
  • Train and cross-train team members to ensure coverage in all areas and build a cross-functional team.
  • Track team member attendance and address attendance issues as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve worker issues.
  • Conduct team member performance evaluations.
  • Report to the manager on daily activities, problems, solutions, etc.
  • Lead by example in maintaining good housekeeping and organization in the logistics department.
  • Maintain forklifts and tow motors, keeping accurate and up-to-date service records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a leadership position in an industrial environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a position dealing with inventory in an industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of logistics processes in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in an ever-changing automotive environment.
  • Forklift experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Experience driving powered industrial vehicles.
