About The Position

Communicating with Operations Manager to formulate objectives and understand requirements. Drive Department(s) Quality standards to exceed DwyerOmega and customer requirements. Ensure the proper training of new employees. Monitor facility production schedule and assist supervisors with prioritizing order builds. Monitor production and resolve production issues as they arise. Direct personnel towards maximum performance with a goal of efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets DwyerOmega's quality standards and customer requirements. Coach others to enhance their personal performance setting focused targets and expectations. Assist in communicating employee enrichment initiatives to employees. Empower staff to present ideas and Continuous Improvement ideas and solutions. Identify training needs/deficiencies and formulate plans to improve them. Provide proper reward and recognition to individuals/teams. Regularly interacting and providing insight and influence at all levels from the Production Managers to shop floor associates in leading and encouraging Continuous Improvement initiatives and best work practices. Enforce health and safety precautions. Assist in enforcing DwyerOmega Company Policies. Identify potential production barriers and plan to avoid them. Assist in bridging the communication gap between Production Employees and Supervisors. Manage own time and to formulate priorities to manage several tasks at once without frequent direction. Other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Some lifting required (up to 60 lbs.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong ability to multitask and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Ability to make sound, logical decisions.
  • Train, assist, manage, evaluate, and direct employees.
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of Work Wise ERP software and internal DwyerOmega production software.
  • Strong knowledge of facility departments and operations.
  • Strong computer (Microsoft Office) and typing skills.
  • 1-2 years of production work related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Operations Management or a production related field preferred.
