About the position

The Supervisor of Dietary Services is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Dietary Services department at Estes Park Health. This role involves planning, organizing, and reviewing daily functions to ensure high-quality food service and compliance with safety standards. The supervisor will work closely with the Senior Director of Support Services to align departmental initiatives with organizational goals, while also managing staff and maintaining budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Dietary Services department, including staffing and food service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety principles and customer service standards.
• Maintain an environment of survey preparedness through staff education and internal auditing.
• Manage departmental budgets and operational expenses effectively.
• Oversee personnel scheduling and timecard management functions.
• Communicate with vendors for routine services and equipment maintenance needs.
• Develop and present quality metrics for quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the evaluation and performance reviews of assigned staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior supervisory experience in food service or similar retail establishments is preferred.
• Computer knowledge and skills are required.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare food service management.
