About the position

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Case Workers at AmeriHealth Caritas is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of Behavioral Health Case Workers in Upstate South Carolina. This leadership role involves providing clinical direction, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and enhancing the quality of care management services. The supervisor will mentor staff, monitor productivity, and drive the delivery of exceptional case management services, all while aligning with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Behavioral Health Case Workers.
  • Provide clinical direction and organizational leadership.
  • Monitor productivity and documentation of case workers.
  • Mentor staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with state requirements and standards.
  • Assist in executing strategic plans for care management services.
  • Engage with members and staff through face-to-face visits as needed.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of Behavioral Health clinical practice experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in South Carolina.
  • At least two (2) years of Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with state required reporting and NCQA reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) and documentation programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in community-based settings or home care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience collaborating with the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
  • Experience collaborating with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).
  • Experience collaborating with the Department of Social Services (DSS).
  • Experience collaborating with the Department of Disability and Special Needs (DDSN).
  • Experience with MS Access.
