About the position

The Supervisor of Electric Line Operations is responsible for overseeing employees in the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric and/or gas distribution and transmission systems. This role involves planning and scheduling new construction work, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training activities. The supervisor ensures that all work is completed in accordance with construction standards, approved policies, procedures, safety rules, and budgets. Interaction with customers to solve problems and ensure satisfaction is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and oversees the work of line and gas and/or electric departments.
  • Supervises daily field activities of the Company and contractor construction crews.
  • Resolves customer issues as needed.
  • Schedules the work of line or street crews and assesses project scope.
  • Administers damage claims, billing, leak reports, and job kitting.
  • Monitors accuracy of Gas Records for auditing purposes.
  • Oversees construction office and supports budget management.
  • Supervises emergency restoration efforts.
  • Coordinates safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations.
  • Conducts employee evaluations for the annual performance appraisal process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Associate degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED required with 10 years of relevant experience and completion of the relevant progression program.
  • Knowledge of line work and construction.
  • Knowledge of line, gas, and/or electric theory, switching, tagging, labor agreement, safety manual, leak detection methods, procedures, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • May require various DOT Operator Qualifications.

Benefits

  • Base salary range from $101,404 to $126,755 depending on experience and location.
