About the position

The Superintendent at Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company is a vital member of the project team, responsible for overseeing and managing all activities on a construction site. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle from preconstruction to punch list, ensuring that safety, quality, schedule, and budget standards are met. The Superintendent will lead work crews, manage site safety, and coordinate logistics, making this position critical for the successful delivery of high-impact construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete supervision of work crews on-site including mentoring and training.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting of staffing needs, and performance evaluations of field personnel.
  • Ensure overall site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Prepare site logistic plans and coordinate temporary facilities for the project.
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
  • Partner with project teams to build and manage the master schedule and 5-week look ahead.
  • Participate in and lead weekly owner, architect, and contractor meetings.
  • Conduct and manage on-site project meetings with subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or 8-10 years of construction management experience.
  • Proven successful leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, Procore or Sage, and PowerPoint or Prezi.
  • Experience with BIM/Navisworks/Autodesk is a plus.
  • Efficient in time management and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer-oriented approach and professional demeanor.
  • Current driver's license and insurable driving record.
