Summer Intern (Commercial)

About the position

The Summer Intern (Commercial) position is designed for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. The intern will identify and pursue new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets, gather market intelligence, generate leads, and develop proposals/campaigns to garner new business. This role ensures a consistent flow of new revenues to the company by utilizing knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends, and potential projects. The intern will work with pre-developed lead lists to generate business and identify new customer prospects. Additionally, the intern will assess, evaluate, and maintain the physical space requirements of the company, recommending plans to meet needs and optimize facility utilization. Responsibilities include conducting ongoing inspections and maintenance of facilities, coordinating with outside vendors, and managing maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to business activities.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from several departments
• Assist in preparing information and research materials
• Create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
• Take notes and memos during meetings
• Type documents, drafts, and reports
• Sort and manage files
• Assist and facilitate staff as necessary

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team as well as act autonomously
• Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
• Attention to detail and follow through
• Dedication to the team’s success

Benefits

• Base Pay Range Minimum: $54,000.00 USD
• Base Pay Range Maximum: $84,000.00 USD
