About the position

As a Summer Day Camp Counselor at KE Camps, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for elementary-aged children during summer camp. This position involves active participation in camp activities, supporting the Camp Director, and ensuring the well-being of campers. You will help children build friendships, try new experiences, and develop important life skills while fostering a positive camp atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a group of campers to provide a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience.
  • Cooperate with fellow Counselors and the Camp Director.
  • Greet families and campers upon arrival.
  • Support the Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers.
  • Participate in all camp activities.
  • Supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner from within the water.
  • Help out where needed and lead activities when asked by the Camp Director.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • CPR Certification or willingness to become certified before the summer begins.
  • First Aid Certification or willingness to become certified before the summer begins.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Ability to help children grow in character, experiences, and insights.
  • Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities.
