About the position

Our Dispute Resolution Consulting (DRC) team is led by financial experts who bring unique value to counsel and their clients on valuation and accounting/forensic matters related to disputes in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Our services include case assessment, strategy design, complex financial modelling, damage theory formulation, settlement assistance, and expert witness testimony in a variety of legal matters. As a Summer Financial Analyst in the Dispute Resolution Consulting practice, you will gain on-hands experience across a variety of workstreams, including engagement teaming, which typically comprise at least one Managing Director/Director, Senior Vice President/Vice President, Associate, and one or more Financial Analysts. Your primary activities may include constructing and reviewing valuation, lost profits/business damages, and other financial models; performing financial statement analysis; performing forensic accounting analysis; performing economic, industry, and other types of research; participation in team meetings; designing and drafting deliverables and work product; and presenting analyses and conclusions internally to review committees. Qualified candidates will have additional accountability for the development of project approach and initial drafts of expert report segments, oversight, methodologies, and analytical frameworks, and have incremental responsibilities, including marketing research, technical initiatives, and business development.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A B.A./B.S./B.B.A. candidate-Finance, Accounting, or Economic major with a graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Coursework in accounting and finance
  • A fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong analytical abilities and financial and computer skills (Excel in particular)
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Benefits

  • $70,000.00-$115,000.00 salary range
