About the position

The Suites Supervisor at Aiken Ford Arena is responsible for ensuring that all suites are properly set up before guest arrival, maintaining high standards of food presentation and service. This role involves direct supervision of staff, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety guidelines, all while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all suites in designated area are properly set before guests arrive.
  • Work closely with suite attendants and culinary staff to ensure proper presentation and set food quantities are met.
  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, and training of staff.
  • Directly supervise staff while interacting with customers.
  • Maintain and control high volume food and beverage inventory.
  • Train, educate, and enforce responsible service of alcoholic beverages and evaluate compliance with corporate procedures.
  • Develop and enforce standards for service, sanitation, and product and food quality.
  • Ensure all monetary transactions and procedures are documented and enforced.
  • Conduct physical audits of inventory and product, and perform reconciliations.
  • Retain and communicate menu information and service preferences.
  • Teach others and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Collect completed paperwork from suite attendants after events and deliver to the office.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sufficient stock in work stations, pantries, and storerooms; order replacement stock as needed.
  • Follow sanitation practices and Department of Health guidelines; report safety hazards and repairs.
  • Complete closing duties according to company procedures, including locking up suites for the night.
  • Assist in suite set-up, including getting tables, chafers, ice, and managing fridges/cabinets as directed.
  • Assist dessert cart attendants and ensure timely service while troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years leadership experience in a service environment such as a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club.
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a POS system.
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personable, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be a team player and work well in group settings.
