Get hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $268 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day teaching assignments as a substitute educator.
• Participate in 1:1 check-ins and discuss school feedback with the consultant.
• Communicate needs and preferences for assignment matching.
• Engage in free online training covering trauma-informed teaching and classroom management.
• Collaborate with a designated Scoot consultant for support and advice.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's degree.
• Provide three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor.
• Complete a TB Risk Assessment & Background check (cost covered by Scoot).
• Demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to putting students first.
• Exhibit an empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive for excellence.

Nice-to-haves

• Possess a 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit OR CA Teaching Credential.
• Be bilingual or speak Spanish.
