About the position
Chesterfield School District seeks Substitute Preschool Relief Aides to work on an as needed basis at Chesterfield Elementary School for 3 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee daily in-class lunch and rest time within each preschool classroom.
- Serve the school administration, teachers, and students in the implementation of the Early Childhood educational program and other duties to ensure the performance of the classroom, school, and playground is orderly, safe, and efficient.
- Work directly with teachers/staff to follow Early Childhood Best Practices, including supervision and support during children's daily dining and rest time procedures.
- Interact with and support children throughout the daily routine.
- Uphold all state standards regarding the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the classroom.
- Physically lift small children, bend down to sit at the children's level, stack cots, and participate in light indoor/outdoor activities.
- Assist children with toileting and changing clothes, as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma/equivalent.
- Ability to relate well to parents and staff.
- Skill in working closely with preschool students.
- Demonstrate potential for growth, creativity, and flexibility.
Benefits
- Rate of Pay: $15.49/hour
