Substitute Preschool & Childcare Staff
About The Position
Kama‘āina Kids, one of Hawai‘i’s Top Workplaces, is hiring Substitute Teacher Aides to support our Kailua preschool teams when extra help is needed. This is a great opportunity for students, caregivers, retirees, or anyone looking for flexible, on-call work. As a substitute, you may step into classrooms to assist or lead when regular staff are out, support daily routines, activities, and supervision of children, help create a safe, caring, and positive environment, and work with different age groups and teaching teams. Every day can look a little different, which keeps things fun and engaging.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Dependable, flexible, and positive attitude
- Willing to jump in and help where needed
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with children is a plus (babysitting, classroom, camps, etc.)
- PATCH eligibility is helpful, but we can guide you through that process if needed.
