About the position
The Subrogation Analyst will investigate, evaluate, and recover losses incurred by the organization through subrogation processes. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance policies, legal procedures, and negotiation tactics to effectively manage subrogation claims.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding losses incurred by the organization.
- Assess the viability of subrogation claims by analyzing policy coverage, liability factors, and potential recovery amounts.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all subrogation activities, including correspondence, settlement agreements, and payment transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as claims adjusters, legal counsel, and finance professionals to gather necessary information and streamline subrogation procedures.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software applications.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional certifications such as Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP) a plus.
