About the position

The Subcontract Administrator position at Lockheed Martin involves managing subcontracts within the Mission Systems and Weapons Market Segment, particularly focusing on the Next Generation Solutions Submarket. The role requires preparing solicitation packages, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and maintaining subcontract administration. The position supports the Long Range Fires Program and involves collaboration with various functions to ensure successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare subcontract solicitation packages including statements of work, specifications, and terms and conditions.
  • Develop proposal evaluation criteria and conduct bidders' conferences.
  • Analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate and award subcontracts.
  • Maintain and administer resulting subcontracts by coordinating additions, deletions, and modifications.
  • Manage 1-3 Major Subcontractors carrying complexity levels 1-3.
  • Support proposal activities in pursuit of new business across the MSW organization.
  • Engage with other functions such as Program Management, Operations, Supplier Quality, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Procurement or Subcontracts Administrative roles.
  • Strong subcontracts administration, organization, and management skills.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs) and manage SDRLs.
  • Experience with managing proposals that require cost and pricing data.
  • FAR / DFAR contracting experience.
  • Ability to analyze proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Subcontracts / Purchase Order Closeout.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend process improvements.
  • Problem-solving skills at both detail and high levels.
  • EVMS certified and proven experience.
  • Technical or Business degree.
  • Working knowledge of various contracting types.
