About the position

The Student Wellness and Accessibility Manager at Aiken Technical College is responsible for providing counseling services and coordinating support for students with disabilities and special needs. This role aims to enhance student personal development and psychological well-being through various services, including case management, outreach programming, and crisis intervention. The manager plays a crucial role in promoting student success and retention by engaging with students and collaborating with campus departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the design, development, provision, and assessment of student wellness services.
  • Interpret federal and state regulations regarding the rights of students with disabilities.
  • Develop procedures to ensure compliance with disability laws and evaluate accommodations for students.
  • Provide confidential short-term counseling services and crisis intervention to students.
  • Connect students to community resources and provide referrals to address barriers to success.
  • Leverage technology solutions to support student services and maximize communication and data management.
  • Ensure reports and documentation are developed in accordance with policies and timelines.
  • Assist in designing and implementing new student orientation and first-year experience programs.
  • Create and facilitate professional development and training activities for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with colleagues and participate in campus activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in student services programs.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $38,985 - $55,559 per year.
