The Student Success Advisor/Assistant Director of Strategic Interventions at Wheaton College plays a crucial role in supporting new and returning students who require academic assistance. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate proactive learning labs for first-year students in collaboration with faculty.
  • Create personalized learning approaches and proactive plans of advising for students.
  • Assist students in assessing their learning needs and setting academic goals.
  • Track student progress and adapt strategies to meet changing needs.
  • Communicate with faculty and advisors regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to facilitate academic success.
  • Support student engagement and success through various related duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience advising and teaching in higher education or learning support services.
  • Experience working with academically vulnerable students.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and technology skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5-7 years of experience providing direct services to students in a higher education setting.
