About The Position

Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC (the “Firm”) as Student Interns will join a supportive working environment with a firm having a national platform while handling sophisticated matters for some of the nation’s largest and most innovative companies.

  • Meet Minimum Performance Standards as provided in the Attorney Manual

Responsibilities

  • Research all aspects of a matter, including relevant state law, case law and other legal texts
  • Draft legal documents, including reports, contracts, pleadings, etc.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
  • Represent clients at meetings, hearings and/or trials
  • Act as a business representative and working with the business to ensure that legal matters are handled professionally and efficiently
  • With regard to litigation, assist with discovery, attend depositions, work on trial preparation, jury selection and attend trial
  • Work under the supervision of senior attorneys
