About the position
The Student Healthcare Worker plays a vital role in supporting the educational and operational functions of the healthcare department. Under the guidance of the Director of Education and/or Supervisor, this position involves various tasks such as data collection, assisting in educational classes, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and providing courteous phone support. The role is essential for ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency within the department.
Responsibilities
- Answers phone in a courteous and professional manner and forwards messages to the appropriate personnel.
- Supports data collection initiatives.
- Assists in educational classes.
- Cleans equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior direct patient contact preferred.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients/families of all ages.
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital associates.
- Maintain BLS Certification.
