About the position
Tindall Corporation is a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer, with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our mission is to support our customers, create remarkable structures, and deliver never-before-seen solutions every step of the way. The position involves the design of concrete products and the processes for the sale and manufacture of concrete products that enhances the profitability of the Utilities Division by providing Customers with superior value at the lowest possible cost, involving continual use of AutoCAD, other technological devices, and visual analysis.
Responsibilities
- Structural design and shop cards for all Utilities products that conform to sound engineering principles, building codes, Customer requirements, and company standards.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Customer Service, and Plant Operations.
- Participate actively in the Tindall Quality Improvement Process.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
- Conceptual design of new products and products for special projects including system layouts, schematics, detailed product drawings, and proposals for customers.
- Design new and improved manufacturing equipment.
- Engage in ongoing personal development through training, reading, and special assignments.
- Conduct work measurement, work plan development, work procedure definition, and establishment of work standards.
Requirements
- PE required.
- 4-year Civil Engineering degree is required.
- 5 to 7 (+) years prior or related experience is required.
- Experience in structural design and shop cards for all Utilities products that conform to sound engineering principles, building codes, Customer requirements, and company standards.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis and other analysis/design software for optimized designs.
