About the position
The Stress Test Technician at Lovelace Healthcare plays a crucial role in assisting cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams, particularly stress tests. This full-time position operates on a day shift and is integral to the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety and compliance with medical regulations while providing high-quality care to the community.
Responsibilities
- Assists cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams including stress tests.
- Maintains and monitors systems, equipment and supplies for assigned department.
- Performs complex and technical electrocardiograms per the request of a physician in the diagnosis of arrhythmias.
- Utilizes MUSE operation and functions to include acquisition, editing, transmission and retrieval of data.
- May provide clerical support for assigned departments.
- Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of related experience in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Radiation Safety procedures
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's Degree in CVT program from an accredited institution.
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience in physiology
- Paramedic or EMT, basic Arrhythmia course, and completion of EKG course
- National Certification (RCVT/MA/EMT), Paramedic or Exercise Physiologist.
