About The Position

The Stress Engineer will apply knowledge of engineering principles, theories, concepts, industry practices, and standards to deliver high-quality structural engineering solutions while assuring procedural and configuration-control compliance within assigned engineering project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural, or related field)
  • ABET-accredited degree recognized under the Washington Accord
  • 5 - 9+ years of aerospace stress engineering experience
  • 5+ years of defense experience (preferred across both levels)
  • Experience with Boeing Defense structural analysis standards
  • Familiarity with advanced composite materials
  • Knowledge of damage tolerance methodologies
  • Strong proficiency in static, fatigue, and FEM analysis
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform static stress analysis on aerospace structures
  • Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance analysis to ensure long-term durability
  • Create and solve Finite Element Models (FEM) for structural components
  • Generate, review, and approve analysis reports
  • Prepare and validate Strength Check Notes (SCNs)
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and provide factory support
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and urgency in completing assignments
