About The Position
The Stress Engineer will apply knowledge of engineering principles, theories, concepts, industry practices, and standards to deliver high-quality structural engineering solutions while assuring procedural and configuration-control compliance within assigned engineering project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural, or related field)
- ABET-accredited degree recognized under the Washington Accord
- 5 - 9+ years of aerospace stress engineering experience
- 5+ years of defense experience (preferred across both levels)
- Experience with Boeing Defense structural analysis standards
- Familiarity with advanced composite materials
- Knowledge of damage tolerance methodologies
- Strong proficiency in static, fatigue, and FEM analysis
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform static stress analysis on aerospace structures
- Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance analysis to ensure long-term durability
- Create and solve Finite Element Models (FEM) for structural components
- Generate, review, and approve analysis reports
- Prepare and validate Strength Check Notes (SCNs)
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and provide factory support
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and urgency in completing assignments
