Full-time - Mid Level
New York City, NY
Publishing Industries

About the position

Traba's mission is to empower businesses and workers to reach their full productivity and potential. Traba is a technology company that is revolutionizing the broken staffing industry through a marketplace that connects light industrial businesses with reliable talent while providing workers with flexible and meaningful opportunities. By connecting both, new levels of productivity, earning potential, and avenues for growth are unlocked. We're proud to be backed by the world's best investors, such as Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst. We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Strategy & Operations Lead to act as the General Manager as we build and scale our newest line of business. This role will be reporting directly to our COO and leading a cross-functional team to set the strategy and execute across Go-to-Market, Operations, Finance, Product & Engineering. While an individual contributor (IC) role to start, there is a clear path to directly manage a team as the Special Projects mandate expands. You will work hands-on to build the business from the ground up and own reporting out progress to the Executive team & entire company. This is a unique opportunity to build an entirely new product in the 0-1 stage, ultimately shaping Traba's Special Project operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish GTM Strategy: Collaborate with Growth, Marketing & Sales to refine value prop, pricing and GTM motion.
  • Design and Build Operations: Lead the development of all aspects of the worker and operations experience, including acquisition, onboarding, and workflow automation.
  • Define New Processes: Play a key role in defining processes essential for the launch and sustainability of a completely new product.
  • Collaborate for Product Excellence: Partner closely with the product team to implement automated solutions that deliver a magical customer and worker experience, streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and Scale: Begin as an IC with potential to hire, lead, and expand the Special Projects operations team as we scale.
  • Hands-on and Field-focused: Embrace a hands-on approach initially, requiring travel during the first six months to engage directly with customers, gather insights, and relay learnings back to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in operations, strategy, or management roles, preferably in a startup or a notable marketplace company.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with an emphasis on driving operational excellence and team growth.
  • Process-driven mindset with a high level of accuracy, organization, and a desire for operational excellence.
