About the position

The Strategic Consulting Manager is responsible for collaborating with leadership in the development and execution of strategy projects, identify, prioritize and select strategic initiatives. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with ASC team members and leadership in the development and execution of strategy projects, identify, prioritize and select strategic initiatives.
  • May be responsible for managing mid-level projects that cross multiple business units while problem-solving difficult challenges with known and unknown solutions.
  • Performs advanced analyses with short and long-term views; interprets research and intelligence to identify growth opportunities and provides recommendations to senior management.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, team engagement, and an ability to execute on strategy.
  • Engagement/project oversight, establishing and reporting on key metrics and measurements, providing general status updates and identifying innovation opportunities.
  • Facilitates large cross-functional working sessions and meetings to align strategy and plan while providing Continuous Improvement coaching and mentoring to team members.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in related field and minimum of 3 years experience in management consulting, change management, large scale project management and/or process improvement leadership; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills, demonstrating fluency with all key packages preferred.
  • Written, oral and presentation skills necessary to successfully influence senior executives strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience identifying competitive threats, defensive measures, and supporting the development of future strategic response and innovation options, with demonstrated experience contributing to the analysis of company needs and supporting the growth of business strategies strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, with demonstrated project management skills preferred.
  • Masters preferred.
  • Ability to travel may be required.
