About The Position

The GOC Strategy and Operations team is a critical driver of success for the Google Operations Center (GOC) within gTech. We help define and execute the GOC's strategic goal, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment. We are a highly collaborative and data-driven team. We create value through deep functional and business expertise combined with investigative excellence to formulate and deliver strategies. Using core capabilities such as strategy, analytics, and communications we empower GOC to do amazing things to land the present, and build for the future. In this role, you will support a mix of strategic and operational efforts through structured problem-solving, deep stakeholder engagement and program management. You will demonstrate excellence in thought leadership, business judgment, and investigative problem-solving. You will be involved and responsible for shaping, managing, and executing a project or workstream with our stakeholders, analyzing its results and presenting the key insights to executive leaders. You will have strategic thinking, comfort with ambiguity, sound judgment for prioritizing requests, and excellent communication skills with a proactive approach. You will be an agile and creative problem-solver with strong attention to detail, capable of building strong cross-functional relationships. You will shape how the GOC transforms customer experiences and develop insights that deliver significant value. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on Google Operations Center (a globally distributed 5,000+ employee organization) and our many partner teams across the Alphabet. This cross-functional role blends strategic, investigative, and operational efforts through deep stakeholder engagement, data-driven analysis, and strategic support. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in strategy and operations, corporate strategy, management consulting, or equivalent experience in a technology/media company.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience with Google products or services and familiarity with the Google Operations Center (GOC).
  • Experience developing compelling, executive-facing presentations with the ability to build productive relationships and lead discussions with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work separately and effectively within a global, highly cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to translate insights into action, including developing compelling business cases and implementing strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational, investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to separately manage multiple concurrent projects and balance analysis with big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate meetings, offsites and workshops to identify improvement opportunities and solve problems. Build strong relationships.
  • Develop compelling business cases to support key proposals and initiatives. Analyze data and conduct research to justify investment decisions.
  • Oversee operational performance reporting, root cause analysis and quarterly business reviews. Create high-quality presentations, reports, and communications for audiences. Develop and maintain leadership and stakeholder-facing collateral.
  • Help to identify and articulate key metrics-related insights and trends. Support ad-hoc analysis requests from leadership. Track progress against GOC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Document and track risks, issues, decisions, and action items. Leverage Google and GOC data and business intelligence tools for proactive monitoring and predictive analytics.
  • Provide program management support for high-priority strategic initiatives and partner across multiple functions in the organization to drive change.
