About the position

Amphenol expects to be an industry leader in sales and profits for our space. This position is responsible for working as the liaison between sales, product, and leadership. The role is designed to manage sales strategies by market and customer. They must understand the sales pipeline and create sales forecasts based on the inputs provided. Responsible for working with the outside sales team and channel partners to grow new business. They will attend tradeshows and events to understand market opportunities and how we approach them with our sales strategy. Expected to be mentored and groomed for leadership. They must be respectful, trustworthy, and live up to the core values. Success in this role will be measured by sales activity, revenue, profit, and company strategy. We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager for the Seattle/Northwest Region (Fully Remote).

Responsibilities

  • Work with Head of Sales to create and hold accountable to Sales Key Performance Indicators
  • Oversee Strategic Account Sales and identify gaps that need to be filled
  • Create Value-propositions and focus on solution selling with alignment to the corporate vision
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and good stewardship by following the sales budget
  • Demonstrate and encourage a cooperative and congenial working relationship between others, both within and outside the company
  • Identify new opportunities for Amphenol and document market trends for company product roadmaps
  • Work with the Product Management team to develop and respond to products that resonate in the market place
  • Create and support a Strategic Sales Playbook for Strategic Accounts
  • Support sales team for technical sales support
  • Identify new market opportunities
  • Utilize the CRM tool to manage sales activity and expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • Five years’ successful sales experience preferred
  • Sales experience in enterprise data centers or telecommunications market is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent relational sales and presentation skills
