About the position

The Store Salesperson in the Clothing department at Wilco Stores is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their clothing and footwear needs, and maintaining the department to meet retail standards. This role involves supporting the clothing area specialist and providing backup coverage throughout the store, including cash register duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and product information on the store sales floor.
• Order, stock, sign, and merchandise departmental products as directed by the store manager utilizing established procedures.
• Ring up, carry out, and load farm store merchandise.
• Maintain department orderliness and cleanliness utilizing established standards.
• Cashiering and other store, yard, or warehouse tasks.
• Open and close farm stores as directed by managers.
• Operate forklift as needed to provide customer service.
• Maintain and comply with established retail standards.

Requirements

• The skill to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
• The ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers.
• The ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sales approaches, methods, and techniques.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
