About the position
The Store Manager at Northern Tool + Equipment is responsible for overseeing the operations of the assigned store, ensuring that all retail sales and related activities are conducted in a professional and results-oriented manner. The role emphasizes increasing sales and profits while providing exceptional customer service and developing the team to achieve store goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall store operations including sales, inventory, and cashier functions.
- Develop effective plans and programs to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Ensure exceptional customer care and service.
- Promote store internal programs for alternative sources of revenue.
- Ensure the sales floor is 'Showtime Ready'.
- Implement retail training programs to ensure employees are fully trained.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 4 years of related retail sales experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to operate and use a Personal Computer (PC) with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong customer service, sales, decision, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a family-owned retail environment.
