About the position

As a full-time Store Manager, you are passionate about serving your community by providing the best shoe store experience for the whole family. You do this by challenging yourself and leading your store team to meet and exceed Talent, Culture, and Operational responsibilities of your role. You are a people leader, taking pride in your leadership and ability to motivate a team to achieve sales targets and growth goals. Through personal demonstration, training, and development, you create an in-store culture where customers say, "I'll take it" and are loyal to your store, our brands, and our company. You are enthusiastic about the product and presentation of your store, staying up to date on trends, and educate your team to do the same. Most importantly, you LOVE shoes, and regardless of your style, you help every person who enters your store experience a little bit of that Famous Feeling.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire the team with integrity and drive, fostering a culture centered on customer relationships, operational excellence, and flawless delivery.
  • Develop internal talent by assessing associates' strengths and opportunities, motivating new levels of greatness.
  • Seek out and network with exceptional external talent to elevate the store's sales growth.
  • Invest time in developing strong succession plans for leadership roles within the store.
  • Expert in day-to-day store operations including pricing, shipment processing, and inventory management.
  • Leverage store standards to keep all styles easily shoppable.
  • Drive sales with purpose and determination, utilizing insights from business analysis to refine strategies.
  • Create a work environment where diversity and inclusivity are valued.
  • Maintain a positive mindset and set a winning example for others.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1-5 years of retail store management experience, specialty retail preferred.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships within store teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to set objectives and organize work to meet goals.
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and developing associates.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • Cognitive skills including problem analysis and decision making.
  • Expertise in leading general retail practices and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills.
