About The Position

Provides administrative support and assistance to the Warehouse Manager, Maintenance Mechanics, and plant management as directed. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and ensuring compliance with various regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical parts and inventory control.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to manage an inventory software.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Stores parts and equipment in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Fills orders or issues supplies/equipment from stock and assigns them out in the inventory system.
  • Conducts inventory cycle counts and makes adjustments in the inventory system.
  • Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
  • Maintains inventory and other stock records up to date.
  • Ensures parts being sent out for repair are tagged and identified properly.
  • Performs general customer service for maintenance and plant employees.
  • Ensures government regulatory compliance, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and SQF program for product performance and safety.
  • Performs other tasks as directed by management.
