About the position
The Stock Specialist Keyholder at Ballard Designs plays a crucial role in supporting the retail team's operations by managing stock room functions, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining lighting and equipment. This position requires a reliable individual with general repair experience, particularly with electrical systems, to contribute to the store's overall efficiency and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement necessary lighting suspension and maintenance, including bulb replacement.
- Perform all stock room functions, including receiving and checking in new shipments and transfers.
- Assist the Store and Operations Managers in ensuring the accuracy of the store inventory.
- Understand current safety guidelines and report needs for lighting and equipment repairs.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor and ensure proper placement.
- Contribute to all aspects of store maintenance and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Prepare and ship outgoing merchandise and transfers.
- Work collaboratively on floor sets and replenishment of inventory.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and instruction.
- 1 or more years of shipping and receiving or stock room experience.
- Ability to move large items up to 75lbs.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with instructions on blueprints/diagrams/technical drawings for product assembly.
