About the position

The Steel Casting Maintenance Manager at Steinemann Inc. is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities related to melting and casting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This senior-level position involves managing a team of maintenance supervisors and skilled employees, establishing maintenance procedures, and coordinating with production to maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total maintenance responsibility for all melting and casting equipment and related systems.
• Manage and supervise 4 exempt Maintenance Supervisors, 1 Process Engineer, and 30 skilled hourly maintenance employees.
• Establish work methods and procedures for breakdown and preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with production personnel to minimize downtime during maintenance activities.
• Establish and manage maintenance inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Ensure security and adequacy of maintenance inventory supply.
• Responsible for employee selection, training, evaluation, discipline, motivation, and safety compliance.
• Accountable for general maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance related to the baghouse area and electrical substation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in heavy electrical and mechanical maintenance related to electric furnace melting and continuous casting operations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in the steel industry maintenance.
