Under the general direction of Chief Engineer II, the Stationary Engineer in the Facilities Management Division (FMD), Franchise Tax Board Management Unit performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of heating, air conditioning, ventilating, lighting, power, water, water treatment, and other mechanical systems in State-owned and occupied buildings in accordance with Department of General Services (DGS) and FMD policies, procedures, and guidelines and the Excellence in Public Buildings Initiative.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems.
- Manage lighting, power, water, and water treatment systems.
- Ensure compliance with DGS and FMD policies and procedures.
- Participate in the Excellence in Public Buildings Initiative.
Requirements
- Must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification.
- Background Investigation clearance required prior to hiring.
- Medical Clearance required prior to hiring.
- Complete employment history on the STD 678 (State Application) is mandatory.
