About the position

The Starbucks Supervisor at Fairmont Dallas is responsible for managing guest relations, supporting team engagement, and overseeing operational compliance within the Starbucks outlet. This role emphasizes creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining a positive work environment for team members. The supervisor will also handle inventory management and financial accountability, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and Starbucks procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests to anticipate and respond to their needs, ensuring positive interactions.
  • Create a positive work environment by engaging with team members and promoting collaboration.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide ongoing support to enhance team morale.
  • Maintain knowledge of Starbucks menu items and service procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Promote cleanliness and organization in work areas to support an energetic workplace.
  • Ensure staff adherence to hotel policies regarding attendance, grooming, and appearance.
  • Conduct inventory checks, establish par levels for supplies, and oversee ordering processes.
  • Uphold compliance with Starbucks cashiering and accounting procedures, managing manual checks and payroll records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Barista.
  • Food handling certificate required.
  • Advanced Store Training certification from District Manager.
  • Certified Barista Trainer certification.
  • Familiarity with various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
  • Strong fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic.
  • Understanding of food/beverage and labor cost controls.
