Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in operational auditing, power substation, norms & guidelines engineering or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Regulated T&D utility business, assets, and systems.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modeling software such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software to create process performance dashboards and reports.
  • Experience in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Knowledge of Smart Grid technologies, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration, and emerging trends in the utility industry such as grid modernization, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), and renewable energy integration.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NERC, FERC, and state-specific utility regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and implement standardized processes across multiple AES businesses in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector.
  • Evaluate and optimize current processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify gaps and align with corporate strategy.
  • Design and create templates for standardized documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize advanced digital tools and technologies to develop and deliver process standards, collaborating with Digital and Internal Communications teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the AES Standards repository, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Create and execute comprehensive communication strategies to educate and engage AES personnel on new and updated processes.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and optimization of T&D processes, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure process sustainability through stakeholder communication and adherence monitoring, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
