About the position

The Staffing Coordinator at Harvest Home Assisted Living is responsible for managing caregiver schedules, facilitating the hiring and training of new caregivers, and ensuring compliance with training requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the administrative team to support staff development and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and distribute the monthly caregiver schedule according to policy and protocol
  • Schedule orientation and training for new staff
  • Schedule CBRF classes, coordinating with RN training
  • Schedule caregivers for attending in-services
  • Review and approve vacation requests and shift swaps, implementing these changes into the schedule
  • Track and document all call-ins and attendance records
  • Implement pre-employment and orientation folders with new caregivers
  • Provide and review trainer checklist with new hires and with the caregiver trainer as needed
  • Provide any necessary caregiver training as directed
  • Observe caregivers as directed
  • Follow up with new caregivers within the first week after training and during the 90-day probationary period
  • Assist with the interview process by attending interviews, reviewing referrals and previous employment
  • Be on a rotating on-call schedule to assist with staffing needs after hours
  • Schedule shadow time for potential hires
  • Attend administrative team meetings
  • Perform all other tasks as requested

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • CBRF Certification in the state of Wisconsin preferred but not required
  • CNA or Care-giving experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • CNA or Care-giving experience preferred
  • CBRF Certification in the state of Wisconsin preferred
