About the position
The Staffing Coordinator at Providence plays a crucial role in ensuring adequate staffing levels for hospital departments across multiple states. This hybrid position involves working both virtually and on-site, collaborating with ministry leadership to respond to real-time staffing needs based on patient census and acuity. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various software applications to manage staffing resources effectively.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department and ministry leaders to assess and respond to staffing needs in real-time.
- Utilize software applications to manage staffing levels across various hospital departments.
- Monitor patient census and acuity to allocate resources appropriately.
- Respond to sick calls and other staffing changes promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and database management related to staffing.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding staffing updates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of experience in customer service required.
- 1 year of experience in computer application and database management required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
