About the position

As an ASCI University Staff Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to employees within the organization. Your primary goal will be to enhance employee knowledge, skills and performance to meet A Second Chance, Inc's values, standards and objectives. You will work closely with various departments and their leadership to identify training needs, create engaging training materials, and conduct interactive training sessions. Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and develop tailored training programs.
  • Create engaging training materials such as presentations, handouts, and multimedia content.
  • Conduct training sessions through various ways including in-person workshops, webinars, and e-learning platforms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback to make improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate into training programs.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation sessions.
  • Collaborate with ASCI U Leadership and HR on organizational professional development goals and succession planning.
  • Conduct 80 hours of instructional sessions monthly.
  • Ability to conduct professional development trainings with external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Onboarding and Organizational Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Communications, Education, Human Services, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a corporate/staff trainer or similar role.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other training tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products.
  • Proficiency with usage of technology (i.e. laptops, desktops, tablets, Bluetooth devices, audio/visual equipment).
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of employees.
  • Ability to write and design curriculum.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in training and development is a plus.
