About the position

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to design, enhance, and build our transactional Fraud detection engine in an agile development environment. The role involves building full stack development of real-time transactional services, REST services API, and container-based services that are functional, distributed, secure, scalable, and resilient. Additionally, the engineer will build models and software based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning, support Agile teams who build products end-to-end, and drive innovation that makes products stand apart from competitors.

Responsibilities

  • Design, enhance, and build our transactional Fraud detection engine in an agile development environment.
  • Build full stack development of real-time transactional services, REST services API, and container-based services.
  • Build models and software based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
  • Support Agile teams focusing on unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration for excellent code quality.
  • Drive innovation for faster market delivery.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Engineer related occupation.
  • Proficiency in Java, REST APIs, JSON, and exposure to container-based technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development, test driven development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, and/or Mock frameworks.
  • Full-stack development using ES6, HTML5, CSS3, CSS4, Redux, Riot.js, React.js, and/or D3.
  • Experience building enterprise-class applications with best practices for reliability, availability, scalability, and operability.
  • Knowledge of Big Data and analytics leveraging Hadoop, Spark, and/or Cassandra.
  • Experience in the fraud detection domain.
  • Security analysis skills, including implementing and verifying secure coding techniques.
