About the position

The Staff Software Engineer for the Community Support Platform (CSP) at Airbnb will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technology and solutions that support Airbnb's global community support operations. This position focuses on improving agent productivity through AI and automation, contributing to the development of innovative products that streamline workflows and enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product and business strategies.
• Drive the full development cycle including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
• Review code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications and mockups.
• Lead and mentor engineers in building technical solutions and improving their collaboration skills.
• Nurture a culture of technical quality from design through to production operations.

Requirements

• 9+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Strong expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with frontend or full stack development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team and across various organizations.
• Passionate about efficiency, availability, technical quality, and system quality.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with case summarization and knowledge assistance tools.
• Previous experience in mentoring junior engineers.
