About the position

The Staff Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst L5 at Northrop Grumman is responsible for overseeing cost control systems and ensuring that contracts are managed within agreed-upon parameters. This role involves preparing budgets, schedules, and financial analyses to support the Launch & Missile Defense Systems - Propulsion Systems Programs. The analyst will also maintain data accuracy in project management tools and train team members on system tools.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up cost control systems and monitoring costs and schedules on contracts.
  • Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters.
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and assisting in financial analyses.
  • Preparing program plans to capture and schedule program requirements and statements of work.
  • Involvement in ME data integrations process as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintaining Primavera/P6 and Cobra databases for accurate monthly reports.
  • Problem solving in Primavera/P6 and Cobra across various programs.
  • Training team members and other departments on system tools like BI Analytics, Primavera/P6, and Cobra.
  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly reporting and quarterly EACs.
  • Assessing and improving financial reporting processes for efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of professional work experience, or a Master's Degree and 10+ years of professional work experience.
  • Additional 4+ years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Financial or accounting experience.
  • Experience with SAP, Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Oracle Primavera.
